dwsChorale
The dwsChorale began in the days of audio cassette recordings, and involved David rushing between rooms and sound systems to copy one voice over another over speakers. Good exercise but not really CD quality.
Eventually, as more sophisticated methods became available, the "choir" opted for hard disk recording and managed, in one small space and with one microphone, to create the effect of a whole choir with the vocal chords of one solitary countertenor.
It has not looked back since and has even attempted the 40 part motet Spem in Alium by Tallis as well as more intimate pieces including some of David's own liturgical, humorous and madrigalesque compositions.
It also performs the music of other living composers, many of which can be heard on this site and elsewhere on the Net.
